Many personal injury claims can be settled without a lawsuit

Personal injury lawsuits can be expensive, time consuming and very scary and stressful for clients who have never dealt with the legal system before. Most cases can be settled without ever going to Court, which can help maximize the amount of money you could walk away with. Florida personal injury attorney Jason Turchin will help walk you through your case every step of the way.

As a Personal Injury Litigator, Jason Turchin is not afraid to take your case to Court if necessary or if it is in your best interest to do so. Some firms don't even have litigators in their office, which means they may just accept any offer because they are afraid to go to Court.

What types of personal injury claims do you handle?

We handle many types of personal injury cases, including:

  • Slip and Fall claims
  • Negligent Security
  • Boxes falling from shelves
  • Cruise ship injuries
  • Theme park injuries
  • Homeowner injuries
  • Retail store accidents
  • Vacation accidents
  • Elevator accidents
  • Electric Shock and Electrocution
  • Pharmacy and Prescription Errors
  • Nursing Home Abuse
  • Nursing Home Neglect

How long do I have to file a Florida, New York or DC personal injury claim?

Generally, in Florida, you have up to four years to file a lawsuit for a personal injury claim. There are other limitations which could shorten this time, like if the at-fault part is a government entity, a cruise ship or if the claim involves nursing home abuse or medical malpractice.

In New York, you generally have three years to file a lawsuit for your personal injury claim, but again this may be shorter for medical malpractice, government claims, and nursing home cases.

In Washington DC, a personal injury lawsuit may be barred if not brought within three years, but there are also time limitations. It is important to call us as soon as possible so we can figure out the time limits which may apply in your case. You should not wait though, as there are many other parts of your case which may have time limitations, some as soon as 30 days from the accident.

I live out of state. Is that a problem for my personal injury claim?

We've represented hundreds of clients who live out of state, but are injured in Florida, New York or Washington DC. In most cases, from our experience, our clients may never even have to come here for their case. We can also easily communicate by email, phone, fax or even through our My Attorney App.  We've worked with many out of state doctors and insurance companies and can help coordinate your medical treatment and payment of your medical bills.
